The Press Women of Texas Communications Contest is the first step to entry in the NFPW National Communications Contest, a two-tiered competition open to anyone over the age of 18 regardless of age, gender, professional status or location.
Important Dates - The Press Women of Texas Communications Contest begins on October 1, 2018. Book entries are accepted until January 15, 2019, at midnight. All other entries are accepted until January 22, 2019 at midnight.
Persons entering after January 9, 2019, will be charged a one time $25 late fee in addition to the state entry fee. ENTER EARLY!!

What Do I Win? - Winners of the state level contest receive a certificate of achievement presented at the annual Press Women of Texas conference. First place winners earn the chance to compete at the national level. National winners receive a certificate of achievement presented at the awards banquet during the NFPW National Conference. They can also display and sell their work at the conference, as well as being featured on our Winner’s Showcase page, and be featured on NFPW social media pages. Entrants with wins across multiple categories are entered into the Texas sweepstakes. A contest giving a weighted point value to each placing dependent on entries. The national contest also awards a sweepstakes winner.
How Much Does it Cost to Enter? Entry fees are $12 per entry for Press Women of Texas members and $15 per entry for non members prior to January 9, 2019. Persons entering after January 9, will incur a $25 fee per person. Final deadline for books is January 15, 2019, and January 22, 2019, for all other entries.*
